Making a Desktop Shortcut

Posted by Dennis Galayda on 2010-04-30

There are bread-and-butter applications that we use a lot, maybe it’s Microsoft Word, or Excel for example, and opening these applications the usual route through the Start button then to Programs just takes up precious extra seconds. To help save time opening those applications that you use all the time you can make a Desktop Shortcut. Just follow the steps in the screen below. You’ll have your most used applications right on your desktop for a lot easier and quicker access– and it’ll only take you seconds to do.

NOTE: at step 3 right-click on your mouse to acquire your drop-down menu.
